I agree!
Too many such types in the world. Besides, on how many *nix systems has this person ever had to enter single user mode? On how many *nix systems has this fellow even fscked a volume? I dare say none. For those who don't know, single user mode or console mode is roughly equivalent to safe mode with command prompt on an XP system. In both cases, most of the drivers and daemons are not loaded so that changes to the configuration and or repairs that cannot be made when these are loaded/running can be done. XP is no different or worse for this except that the architecture and syntax differ. Only the ignorant would attack XP for doing what is done in other operating systems.

Now, it would be nice to see Vista support mounting *nix volumes formatted with a *.nix filesystem of some sort. That would be cool, I think.
