Counting the cost of counterfeiting

You are rationalizing taking of IP.: It is true that they calculate it at the retail level but this is a loss. Someone out there is using it free of charge and should pay. The reason MS products are pirated is because the free alternatives are not good. If they were, no one would pirate MS goods.
