piracy where the end user only pays for the cost of the media is very benificial to Microsoft, as long as there is an enforcement program so that most businesses and others that can afford it actually pay for it.
But, piracy is now Microsofts number one weapon against Linux and open source applications such as OpenOffice. If they could eliminate piracy tomorrow, it would be the worst nightmare for Microsoft since there would be a massive switch to Linux in third world countries arround the world and result in the development of an ecosystem supporting Linux and open source applications, severely reducing the network effect. - Posted by: DonnieBoy Posted on: 05/22/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
