Who defines 'spyware' ?
All four of these companies have different definitions of what is 'spyware'. Sort of what the definition of 'is' is.

It's not limited to them, try running the online scanners from Symantec, Trend and McAfee and you will get different answers too.

Especially on the malware that tells you the computer has spyware and do you want to be scanned? If you agree, then it installs it's own spyware and trys to blackmail you into buying their product to remove it (SpyAxe et al.). Some vendors ignore these pests.
