As much as I despise Symantec for their shoddy products and bloatware, which are generally just as bad as, if not worse than, the virii they're supposed to protect us against...

If Microsoft is in violation of some said IP agreement; maybe that's good - Microsoft can do something they needed to do a decade or more ago:
Dump their OS/NTFS design and come up with something that doesn't fricken defrag!!!

Or better yet, MS & Symantec standoff at 10-paces and fire (with full-auto ON).
