2 Years
You know now that I think about it. Even the 2 years is dumb. Say you are criminal who has committed any crime whose penalty is greater than 2 years and all that protects you is your keys. If you know that data will get you more than 2 years, why would you ever reveal it? There there is the fact that mister or miss innocent who happens to have forgotten his or her password now gets to spend 2 years in jail. Come on, it is so easy to see this happening. This data could be years old by the time they call you in. Can you remember a password from last year? Are they that stupid?
