As opposed to Mars possibly? Again and again, as even my American friends observe, the best arrangement in the world is a British education and an American dentist happy
Having enflamed someone somewhere, and without trying for any more points scoring, I can't help noticing that these posts have drifted off the topic.
I find the idea of teaching "ethical" hacking to IT security personnel nothing too outrageous, it is also not a new concept (it is taught in universities in the USA and Canada - if news reports from the last few years are to believed). Seeing as anyone can log onto the internet and tap "hacking tools" into Google and stand back from the deluge of information that ensues, surely it makes sense that the bod's on the receiving end of practitioners of these tools - the IT security people - should have some idea of what those tools can do and how to protect against being the recipient of an unwelcome "ether-visit".
The only thing missing, in current climes, is that Microsoft don't offer the same service to their embattled customer base, but that would be fanciful now, wouldn't it?
