The REAL clear and present danger...
...are people who have a blind, unshakeable belief that their government (or one of its many entities) isn't possible of doing wrong.

The most powerful, meaningful thing a person can do is to question authority. It keeps authority honest, not to mention humble. (Please don't make the common mistake of confusing the meaning of 'question' with that of 'rebel against' - they are two entirely different things. The former is always for the better good; the latter is rarely justified.)
