I would not call it fear or heading to rumours. I've toyed with OSX before.. it does work differently. i'm sure i could "use" the system fairly qucikly, but what about learning the administration stuff? how to setup networking etal.. Then add to that the Windows related sites i know i can go to if i need something. How long will it take me to build up that as a Mac related library? Might eb a little while, but that's still time i coudl be spending on other things.
I don't have that much Downtime on my system due to Windwos maleware, because i'm carefull. the only victimizing i've had from virri is that my mailbox has gotten so full legit emails were bouncing... switching ot MAc for more security would provide next to NO benifit for me...
you also cannot deny the cost. while it might be a lot les than most peopel think, i STILL have to buy a whole new compter and w new compliment of software... not like Adobe is going to give me a free copy of Photoshop, just because i switched to Mac... and of course, there's another software i can think of, where i use a limited version that's only available for windows.. the Mac version costs signifigantly more...
