Still Do NOT care in the least
" Most infections today aren't designed to destroy the computer but to make it a zombie. This allows people to use a network of zombie computers to send spam or carry out DDoS attacks, or other such things."

Fine by me. I'm no spammer or cracker, but I really could care less about such things. It doesn't hurt me at all. I've got a spam filter... and I could care less about the traffic spam creates. Also could care less about DDoS attacks.

" This means that your servers could come under a crippling attack or, at the very least, have to screen a few 1000 extra spams or bogus return messages out a day.

And, what's even worse is having a sales/marketing type bring an infected-at-home laptop into your network. "

Keeps IT pros employed. It really doesn't matter homey. Attacks and spam are of little consequence.
