The users will try it anyway
I have a small user base (50 60) and no matter what I tell them about virus messages they still continue to open the obvious email.
All emails are scanned for viruses anyway, so generally the emails are clean by the time the messages gets to the desk.
I still have people sending me messages asking me what the message is and why they can't open it.

I would imagine that one glorious day we will have a safe and stable user friendly PC environment, but until then the users will always be curious and there is little we can do about it, short of completely locking down workstations.
We don't always have the time or the tools to manage these problems.
