Many of these people are playing word games!
The government is not recording your conversations, there are however records of your calls. One is audio the other is text. The text is the same data that is used by your carrier to determine your BILL!
The NSA requested these databases so they could follow and map terrorist networks in the US. In order to do this you must have "everything", if there are no terrorist or their supporters calling or being called by you your number never appears, the ones which do can be used to investigate suspects in the network.
These people are talking about how all of your calls are being monitored and you are being spied on! This is complete rubbish! Bush is no more spying on you than ATT, MCI or Sprint are. There must be records (not recordings) of your calls in order to BILL you, is that spying? Is tracking calls by terrorist and their enablers in that database spying on you? Stop being sooooo stupid and gullible!
