By the way...
When the Anti-Spyware, Firewall get upped, you want to know how many people won't actively pursue other means of finding anti-virus applications?

I just don't understand the concept of why people can't understand "the average user" instead everyone "projects" how they would go about finding out things and figure everyone is the same way.

Dude.. Most people don't know what the hell spyware really is.

Heck most people this a virus is like a virus in real life that somehow it's going to cause some catastrophic event.

I had a in-law relative who just bought a new computer get Norton's because it was "On the computer" and he was "afraid" to be on the internet without a virus scanner. I asked him if he has heard of other scanners?

"I don't know.. I'm just afraid to browse the internet without one".

You don't think the same thing is going to happen if MS were to integrate their software?

Norton got a new customer.. Now when upgrade happens in a couple years and they get Vista.. and/if Vista includes the tools.. You think they are going to go out and buy something different?

After all.. It has Microsoft's name.. so it has to be good. :P

Most users in the world use whatever is given to them until they become educated enough to make their decisions. Then like anything else, eventually that opinion may be based on "bias" rather than real factual information.
