Oh, Brother!
History is littered with the rotted corpses of companies who thought that the market would pay extra for better quality than Microsoft provides as part of their bundles. Most of them weren't trying to compete on core operating-system functions -- Symantec is.

They'd be much, much better off emulating Stacker. They won their lawsuit against MS, took the money, and took up another line of business.
