I've never had to hunt for a driver
I've plugged in 8-10 digital cameras, and all sorts of other peripherals to Macs and never had to hunt down a driver. Never. Most peripherals I've purchased come with a cd, but the Mac instructions always say just to plug it in, no need for the cd.

Now, it's a given that Kinte is usually over the top, but the response from nikoli is equally brain dead.

Macs use standard hardware, so upgrading is not an issue. In fact, in the pro desktop series, Apple's superb box designs make upgrading a snap.

I've never had a single issue with any peripheral I wanted to use. Can someone list some examples that are Windows only?

As for 90% of the software on the market, that number is probably an exageration, but even if not, what's the big deal? So I only get 4 or 5 different programs to do what I want to do instead of 20 or 30 different programs. All I need is one that works.

And games? Whatever floats your boat. No games needed here.
