Conflict of interest
One always needs to wonder how much one can trust a company selling a security type product when that same company is also selling advertising and doing deals with spyware companies and in particular, entertainment companies. For example, how robust is MS' popup blocker gonna be when they're selling popup ads to customers on MSN? And what about Symantec choosing to have their software ignore the Sony rootkit, at Sony's request? What about DRM that spies on your usage and phones home?
