Good suggestions, but I have to comment on item 3.
Although it is sound advice, you might want to change it to "any unexpected attachment." Not just "attachments from unknown sources."
Reason being that is a worm infects your friends computer, and your email address is in an address book on that machine, chances are you will probably get a worm mailed to you in their name.
