Microsoft programmers suck
I shouldn't say they suck so much as they are stubborn and refuse to evolve. For example, many shops who do work for the government have their employees code changes scanned for potential security risks (using tools like Coverity). Not Microsoft. Microsoft lets their programmers submit patches and fixes that, in turn, often times break other parts or produce new security holes. Worse yet, because the Windows code is so messed up it takes a long, LONG time for patches to get out. Its amazing the thing keeps running. And people wonder why Vista won't be out until next year.
