exploits are not the same as drive by downloads

I tested SocketShield on sites running real exploits -- it works. I blogged it here:

I hate to tell you all, but a software firewall will not stop exploits like the WMF or CreateTextRange exploit. Neither will SpySweeper or SpywareBlaster, as great as they are, and I use both. Neither will SiteAdvisor.

An exploit is not the same as a drive by download, btw. The author should have titled the article differently.

Linux -- yes. It's not vulnerable to Windows exploits.
