I Tend To Agree! But JPR75_Z. Did We Learn?
What would happen now, because there are so many developers?

There would be an Anti-Trust investigation against any OS developer that included all these protective features into the OS.

Gee. Look at Internet Explorer. Millions expended on both sides. But the repalcements are no more safe, useful or patch free then the one they were complaining about. The millions could have been used to develop better technology.

So, I could see this current but fairly new generation of Anti-Virus, Fire-Wall, and Anti-spyware developers start whining if a truly functional set of these features were incorporated into any OS. Doesn't matter which one. They would accuse any OS developer that did this of "trying to put us out of business." "Whine. Boo Hoo. Hand me a tissue."

I know, as an internet user, and a private citizen; that I don't care who develops the best protection from the internet. If they incorporate it in an OS, it has the best rating, and it keeps my price down, I'm a happy consumer.

Therefore, I agree. And I would like to see smart technology that could gather all info available about the sender of the drive-by attempt. (Sometimes the potential invaders use a spoofed address and computer id. So in some cases this may not be possible.)

We also need some stronger legislation, that is recognized worldwide, that makes it an invasion of privacy to install, and mislead to install; adware, spyware, keyloggers, and malware.
