Currently the worms and viruses are
inocuous. That is they are disrupting at a massive scal and thus still very costly to ISPs, organizations and plain users.

We haven't seen a truly desctructive one yet -- although the MS SQL hammer came close.

I cannot unerstand how big organization planned to rely, in the long run, on platforms that can get compromised so easily. There have alread been so many example cases of compromise to demonstrate the almost complete lack of security. It seems that people have billions to waste.
