With full headers in every e-mail message...
...it doesn't matter for me, no matter how hard you try to get me to enter my personal information via phone or via website.

As for my security measure, my top priority, and my first step when getting e-mail, I always view the full header that came with the message. Believe it or not! When you send me an e-mail message claiming to be from Bank of America, for example, I always check for the "Received:" part of the header. If I do a WHOIS lookup in IP address that doesn't say "Bank of America," then you can kiss your "attempt to make me be a victim of identity thief" good-bye.

Well I got an e-mail message claiming to be from eBay and it isn't so I did a WHOIS lookup in an IP address in a header and--HA! SPOOF!!! GONE! REPORTED to authorities (I mean...CastleCops' PIRT)! grin
