I'm a Windows, FreeBSD, and Linux user and I don't get a "boatload" of e-mails daily in Outlook, my Windows e-mail client, nor K-Mail my Linux, FreeBSD clients. You're in sad shape if you're receiving "boatloads" of e-mail a day.
Perhaps, you're using your real e-mail addy when posting in newsgroups or websites and are subject to it being harvested by spam scanners among others.
Speaking of annoyances, It's really annoying having egomaniacal Linuxards presume every user of a Windows OS is "uninformed/unskilled" and every user is presumed "skilled" who uses Linux. Please, don't make me laugh. Some Linux versions are a cakewalk to install and use and require hardly any "skill." Only technophobes of any OS are likely to be truly "informed/skilled."
