What do you mean? Has MS admitted to having the OS contact MS w/o user's knowledge? When and why? Did it go against their privacy policy?
Did you know that from iTunes to Flash to realtime to many open source programs there are hundreds or more apps "phoning home" w/o users consent on a regular basis? I wonder what kind of data Google and Apple and Linux Distos and many others are ripping off from users. I've never read their privacy policies....i guess I should!!!
Of course only MS would do that with evil intent...i see your brilliant point.
