Maybe you should be clued in.
moron.
The ability to take control of a PC was still speculative at the time this article was written, or did you read right over that part.
Why do law enforcement issues fall into the hands of the browser manufacturers anyway. Add too much security and you take away too much functionality. That's whey the military strength security Linux inherited from the Fed's research with massive amounts of tax dollars kept Unix in the shadows of home and business usage outside of web servers and other commodity software, for decades. After 30+ years they come out smelling like roses just because of criminals. Not because of any new innovations. To be sure. Linux is ok but a far cry from MS in terms of functionality and dammit I'm not trading that flexibility in for Government grade software. It's not that hard to steer clear of unknow websites and other social engineering exploits. How can something that relies on the user to make a bad decision be considered a vendor vulnerability. I guess we can only wait until open source is more of a target to see just how secure it really is. We do know it's just as buggy as any other but, like Apple, enjoys the obscurity that keeps hackers from going that route. They want to affect as many users as possible, obviously.
