Ever hear of a concept called "the company store," Axey?

Made famous by the mining industry about a century ago. Essentially, the way it works is a mining company would hire guys to work in their mines for a pretty decent salary. Only problem was the site was WAY out in the boonies, with no privately owned general store for supplies and no privately owned tavern for entertainment. So the company would build those facilities, and charge their captive customers wildly inflated prices so what was left of their salary was hardly anything. Here's line from a song:

Ya load 16 tons, and whatta ya get?
Another day older and deeper in debt.
Tell St. Peter if he calls me that I can't go,
I owe my soul to The Company Store.

Still don't get it? Okay, replace the mining company with MS, the miners with all of the innocent users not geeky enough to roll-their-own for secure ID. Get it NOW?
