Granted, but...
I've personally run across three rootkits in the last two weeks. I call them rootkits because they were not visible until I booted to NTFS DOS. They may have technically been something else. Out of five such problems in 13 years, three in two weeks makes me think things are getting worse. They were on PC's of individuals who don't have a clue about their machine or the dangers of the Internet. It may mean money for me as tech, but it is not good for the Internet as a whole.

Where to put the blame? who knows. But some changes need to be made cause things are just getting worse.
