Provides a false sense of security
Any solution, and this isn't the first, that requires the computer to contact a server on the Internet before it will destroy its data is useless. What makes anyone think that the thief will hook it up to the Internet? Seems to me what a thief would do is 1. change the admin password, 2. log in as admin, 3. copy all the data, 4. wipe the system (thus deleting the software that contacts the server), 5. sell the machine.
