I thought the same thing...
when i initially heard of the OneCare service. If it takes them 4 weeks to get out a patch for a known exploit, what trust do I have in them to keep their OneCare in perfect working order?

In my mind they should have shored up the holes and given themselves a proven track record prior to bringing out OneCare. As it stands, if you know MS, you know how lax they can be, and can you really trust them to keep your computer safe from all of the malware out there because of their past(and present) intentions? It's going to take a bit more to get some of us swayed to their thinking.
