As a Parent
Suppose you are a concerned parent, concerned about your child's activities and the possible dangerous waters they tread while they assure you they are doing nothing that would upset you, nothing that places them in jeopardy. Knowing what your child is engaged in or about to engage in- gang activity, drug use, etc. - isn't a bad thing. I'd want every tool to in the arsenal to alert me and enable me to redirect my child's behavior. And yes, I am sure there are many many opportunities to abuse the information obtained by such software, but there are valid uses. (And don't say..oh no, I know EVERYTHING my child is involved in... you are fooling yourself!)
