NO NO NO!!
I REALLY DON'T WANT THAT.

All I want from my high speed is a standard compliant SIGNAL. No additional software to install, and no stupid logins. A simple gateway w/ USB/ethernet/firewire... and a connection that is always on. Also, no more of that "You exceeded you bandwidth" crap. If I pay for 1.5Mb/256Kb all the time, then you better not tell me I am using it too much. If you need to put limits, then have it in your contract!!!

We pay enough for these morons who don't know how to use a computer. I am not going to pay more just so those users can get dumber as we coddle them with default protections. All its going to do is make my life harder for doing simple things like ftp/ssh.

If the provider wants to sell this stuff as another highly recommended or even the default service... that's great, just leave me the option of not taking it. And don't provide it free of charge, that just means I am sharing the cost for some other guy to get it.

Remember, the BIGGEST problem with these last few worms wasn't the software or hardware, IT WAS THE USER. They ranked higher than the genuine viruses. No amount of software or hardware is going to stop these types of users... just make it a little bit harder for them and a LOT harder on the rest of us.
