Wrong wrong wrong
You are incorrect. Plain and simple.

If that is what he intended to say, he failed, based on the rules of English grammar.

Nice try obfuscating the facts to fit your own opinion.

The exact quote, once again, was:
"The only reason hackers attack Windows is because they are Linux users and ethically void."

He did not say: "Linux users are ethically void."
He said "...hackers...are...ethically void."

You have moved the statement "ethically void" to modify "Linux users" when the statement clearly uses it address "hackers". It is similar to the statement: "The car is a Ford and gets great gas mileage," in which both "Ford" and "great gas mileage" describe the CAR. "Great gas mileage" does not describe FORD (and, no, this is NOT a point about Ford, merely an example of a similary structured sentence).

While I cannot speak to the original posters INTENTIONS, I can speak to his quote.

As to his statement that hackers who attack Windows are all Linux users, that is probably very incorrect (at least in the case of a real hacker, not a script kiddie). You cannot hack what you do not know. Thus, it is not only unprovable, but also most likely wrong. It is possible to say that they are all Linux supporters, but that is also unprovable and most likely wrong, as well.

The second part of the conjunctive statement, that hackers are unethical, is not only provable, but true.

I am amazed at your ability to discern that what he actually said was "not at all what he intended." Being given both the ability to read the original poster's mind as well as an uncanny ability to misread common English ("he does state that hackers and Linux users alike are ethically void"), you are obviously more gifted than I.
