Cutting the Cord - Best thing ever
I cut the cord about 6 months ago. Before that, I received an average of about 5-6 useful phonecalls on my landline per month. I received probably about 400 calls per month on my landline, almost all from Telemarketing and Salesman. I asked myself, "Why pay $30.00 / month so that Telemarketers can contact me?" Since then, I use my cell phone and ALL of my calls are useful to me. This is the best way to go. The only problem will be in the future if they ever release cellular phone numbers to the public as a directory. You will then be getting phone calls from Telemarketers while you're at work, while you're at dinner, the movies, etc. Hopefully this will NEVER happen.

The ONLY drawback is that I don't think the cellular phone companies were ready for the drematic increase in service usage. This, as a result, causes you to pick up your cell phone, and not be able to call out because all of the circuits are tied up with other people in that area. I think with all the added revenue, cell phone companies should take advantage of this chance and increase their load capacity for phone calls. In turn, this would bring even more revenue to them.
