MS
Ok. A third party has a fix. Now of course MS is not going to want you to download or apply the patch because they haven't tested it. What it seems like to me is that they don't want you using it because they didn't come up with it themselves. But there are ways around the IE flaw itself, such as (again) using an alternate browser. It doesn't have to be FireFox but there are so many other browsers out there that there is a lot to choose from. I think it is more of the fact that people are so used to IE that they don't feel comfortable using anything new. This, however, is one of the MAJOR things that I loathe about MS. There is a problem that even they acknowledge is a CRITICAL flaw and yet they won't provide ANY sort of patch for it until their next patching cycle however many days or weeks away. Now I do understand the importance of their monthly patching cycle and all of that but it would seem that something that could allow someone to do this much damage would rate a little higher. This is damn sure not the way to keep customer's. My suggestion to MS: When you find a flaw that you even consider critical you need to red flag and get a patch of some sort out so it is not so damned critical.
