not exactly a Smurf Attack ...
These attacks are not ICMP ping attacks like a true Smurf Attack. Isn't this a modification, a next step up from a Smurf Attack? Same spoofing, but with a different process ... using spoofed DNS requests instead of ICMP pings to do the dirty work?

Or am I missing something here?
