Biometrics to login? ugh.
Maybe talking to so many of you Linux folks has me paranoid, but I could see Microsoft linking a Windows license to a particular user's biometric parameters. Oops, you need a Windows license for Mom and Jr. too. Cha-ching! TCPA, DRM, and biometrics...a bad combination no matter how you slice it.

As for weak passwords...there are already settings for Windows 2000 that can force users to have combinations of upper and lower case letters, numbers, symbols and so forth. These seem to work pretty well. It's just up to the net admin to implement (and to get management to go along with the change).

In fact, most of the major security problems in Windows are from lax implementation of existing measures. For every exploit that takes advantage of buffer overruns and other flaws like MSBlast there are 100's of MyDoom style trojans/spyware/etc that could easily be blocked if a few extra doors were locked by default instead of being left wide open. But, I guess it isn't as much fun to talk about locking the barn door as it is to talk about a new show horse.
