This is TCPA and not DRM
TCPA is hardware, it is a specification to Trusted Computing. DRM is a software issue that mayneed TCPA hardware, but DRM is not needed with TCPA hardware!

An example of what this means, TCPA allows an EAL3 rated OS to be presented as secure due to a tamper free hardware configuration. EAL3 OS's would include Windows 2000, XP, 2003, SELinux, Suse Linux, ...

DRM is not needed for this, though Microsoft is busy pushing it. DRM is also in MPEG4 data streams (broadcast) for DTV (Digital TV).

EAL is a 7 layer ISO security rating system.
