By the tone, apparently you are attempting disparagement. Well, let's see. Just emerging into the commercial marketplace, Linux is embraced by virtually the entire industry and is rapidly becoming enternched as the standard for large enterprise. This might make for a little headway in the commercial market.

As for the home user, yes it will take some time for the infrastructure to be in place that the average home user would feel confident in making use of it. But for a system that was unabashedly geeky as recently as two years ago, it's making pretty good headway.

Just what was your point again?
