True, but...
lol I like the reference to psychology. That's exactly what I see myself doing. The responsible personality outsmarting the bad personality. I don't have OD protection (for that reason). I also see a credit card as still spending future money since you don't pay it until the bill comes in 30 days later. If I lose my job today (looking for wood & not finding any in my office - lol), I have not yet spent anything that I don't have. So I can still go by that old fashioned "cash only policy" my family has sortof stuck with (except for the cars & house) & have all of the convenience & better safety (of not carrying a lot of cash) without any of the bother in my opinion - especially since I took the precaution of having the ID check added. The cashier actually has to enter my DL# for the trasaction to go through just like with a check, but no printing costs. I have had a debit card since they came out what 13, 14 years ago & have never had a problem. Like you said though, everyone must do what works best for them & what they feel most comfortable with.
