Microsoft fixes Office, Windows flaws

The part I was referring to that's "foolish" is the instantaneous attack that seems to always come from the LINUX crowd (there - I called it what is is instead of *NIX - happy now?) on these boards whenever news about some security issue, some bug, some deficiency in anything Microsoft.

What I have to wonder is that if the LINUX guys are so very happy with what they're using why they constantly have to throw "tomatoes" at the competition. I'm certain there are probably some Windows morons out there that do the same thing, but in all my browsing of these message boards it is MY OBSERVATION that as soon as some weakness is found in the Microsoft products that it's most often the LINUX guys that have to be critical, negative and just plain boorish.

It's really great that there are a number of computer software platforms. I think that Linux should THRIVE as well as Windows or any other system that wants to make a go of it. It's all very cool technology and they all have a lot to offer.

I don't spend much time on this board any more because before you can say "lickety split" the conversations usually degenerate into little more than a good old-fashioned mud-slinging competition with about as much class as the real thing out in the mud.

I am no Microsoft "shill" myself - I simply chose that platform upon which to build a career and have made a darn good living at it. Whether you consider it good technology or not is strictly your opinion. Sure would be nice to see this board have some constructive conversations for a change instead of all this high-school crap that goes on here.
