How do you judge success?
If you do so by profits I'd say Microsoft's focus is dead on target. Now if you're talking about about success being a quality product Microsoft fails a bit there. If you're talking about Microsoft making a secure product they fail big time.

By secure I don't mean vulnerbility free. I mean secure as in locked down like fort knox. Something Microsoft could do but people wouldn't want it as it's too hard to use.
