The DVR works great (free), and the cost is cheaper for more content. Storms can interfere, but I've found that it is only the worst of storms, and it's brief. When I had Comcast I had more interuptions than I've had with satellite. Comcast may not tell you, but part of their feed comes from satellite. I wonder what happens to that part of the feed during a storm that isn't even in your area? Actually, I DO know..... wink
