It goes beyond Media Player.
So the patches that are supposed to fix Media Player only creates more problems. Big freaking deal. woot.

Given the problems I've had with their "updates" crippling my system to the point of paralisys, I hardly find this to be news at all. I had to spend a good three hours trying to "repair" M$'s screwjob of XP. If something goes wrong with the Media Player on my system, I'll just switch to Winamp. If M$ keeps hosing XP, I'll just reformat C: and install Linux.
