Pretty Scary
No_Ax, let me start off by saying that normally I do not agree
with many of your viewpoints. That being said, in your own
sarcastic way you are very right this time. As a Mac and Linux
user by choice and Windows by necessity, I really hope this
serves as a wake-up call. Regardless of if it is cracked or not;
Macs are now being targeted. In a twisted way, it will give we
Mac users an air of legitimacy in the eyes of some Windows
users. Our base is growing enough again to take some notice of.
Any OS can be cracked. I don't think anyone really believes they
are totally safe - at least I hope that is the case. One web-facing
application that is misconfigred or left open can be the vector
needed to compromise the box. That is true of ANY operating
system, Linux and BSD included.
I do have to say, though.... This "challenge" seems more to me
like someone standing in a parking lot on the wrong side of
town with a Bullhorn declaring that the Lexus unde the burned-
out street light is unlocked with the keys in it and if you can
open it, you can have it!
