But like MS has a desktop majority that has not been beaten down much in many years, the internet has always had unix running on the backbone and in most ISPs due to their committment to non complexity. IIS trys to add complexity and additional value to IIS...but you have to admit gaining a 30% share is not bad against a market that was once locked. We haven't seen that in the desktop world yet and the competitors have had 25 years. I'm not sure i'd blow the trumpets on that one. Plus Apache is mean and uses competitive advantage tactics, using their lock to squash any competition in sight.
