closed source
you, of course, are not counting all of the closed source projects going on with what was originally "open source". Which by the way is growing larger each day at this point. Or, what about Red Hat or Novell or IBM or Sun or HP, to name a few? Would they all submit to this? What hinders open source, and I've worked with Unix for years and years, and always will is the lack of standards. It's too hard to fit all the pieces together without going with the corporate versions that are becoming closed due to the lack of viability with the open source business model.
