How is InfoCard copying?
The article and the person they quote from "Higgins" makes it very clear that Higgins is a response to MSFT's InfoCard idea...so how does that come out as Microsoft following the leaders? Fill us in, please?

I'll also copy the most interesting paragraph in the article:

SNIP
The Higgins Project looks to be a step forward in solving the problem surrounding online identities, said Kim Cameron, identity architect at Microsoft. "From what I've seen, this is a very positive development," he said. "I think we are really going to see the identity big bang--a whole wave of social and identity-aware applications that are suddenly becoming possible."
UNSNIP

In other words, Microsoft is happy to have this project come along. Despite the bashers, MSFT has made great strides in playing nice with others. InfoCard is based on Web services standards. The only thing that is "proprietary" about InfoCard is how they'll implement it on Windows. They'll add features to Windows to make managing these kinds of identities as easy and secure as possible. There's nothing wrong with that. MSFT also obviously knows that for this to work, the "cards" themselves have to work across any operating system and device.

This is all good.
