This is not civil disobedience
Claims that downloading music is an act of Civil disobedience is a dilution of true civil disobedience. Civil disobedience applies to unjust laws enforced by a government or governing body that trample on human rights. For example my ancestors in the US fought for an end to segregation. Or, Indians who used civil disobedience in India to fight the oppression from the British Empire.

Civil disobedience does not apply to music downloading or making movies freely available. I fail to see the natural right to digital entertainment. Or how my rights as a human are trampled on because I can't share/borrow/take from a public collection music/entertainment/software because I refuse to pay for it. Someone may claim that there is an educational value to downloading and sharing media. Granted there may be a very limited educational value. But how much learning goes on by the person who has downloaded a prerelease of Star Wars or Matrix? Probably not much.

Now, regarding the Pepsi contest, those people are cheating plain and simple. I don?t play the lottery but imagine how upset you would be if someone else?s numbers were ?selected? because of fixing it.
