This isn't civil disobedience
This is cheating, plain and simple. Pepsi has a promotional campaign, and people are figuring out how to cheat to get around the necessity of purchasing the product. According to the article, this has happened before with other brands, so it really doesn't have anything to do with the music industry per se. Except, of course, that it will prompt apologists to try to justify the actions.

Besides, I am under the impression (that I am sure someone will be quick to correct) that "civil disobedience" involves protest against government (laws, for example), not private (business) activities.
