OS not more complex than a car
I can't believe you think creating an operating system is many order of magnitude more complex than creating a car especially with all the government regulations involved. Not to mention that every new car has a OS, computers, more moving parts than you can shake a stick at, tolerances for parts down to the micron level, years of planning and design, ect.

I am not saying it is easy to build a complex OS but neither is a car. It isn't just putting 4 wheels and engine in a box. Cars these days are very very complex.

The 100+ year agument is just stupid too. That is like saying it is easy to create weapon grade material and design a nuclear bomb because that technology has been around for 50+ years.
